QT Queenstown

The Aotearoa New Zealand Trainees’ Day 2026 will take place at QT Queenstown, set on the edge of Lake Wakatipu and within easy walking distance of central Queenstown’s restaurants, cafés and shops.

Getting to the venue

From Queenstown Airport

Queenstown Airport is located in Frankton, around 8 km from central Queenstown. The journey typically takes 15–20 minutes depending on traffic.

By taxi or rideshare (recommended)

  • Follow signs to the taxi rank outside the arrivals terminal
  • Travel time: 15 minutes
  • Ask the driver for QT Queenstown (central waterfront location)

By shuttle transfer

  • Shared shuttle services operate from directly outside arrivals
  • Travel time: 20–30 minutes depending on stops

By public bus

  • Exit the terminal and walk to the bus stop across the road
  • Take the Orbus service (Route 1 or 2) towards Queenstown
  • Get off in the town centre (Camp Street area)
  • From there, it’s a short walk (approx. 10 minutes downhill towards the lake)

Accommodation can be reserved at QT Queenstown or Peppers Beacon Queenstown during the registration process.

Accommodation rooms are limited.

Friday and Saturday night accommodation is included in your registration, along with daily breakfast.

Rooms will be booked as King Rooms unless two Queen beds are specifically requested, subject to hotel availability.

Partners are welcome to stay free of charge in the room. Please note that partner breakfasts are not included and can be arranged directly with the hotel at a cost of NZD $55 per person, per day.

Additional accommodation options are available nearby for delegates who prefer alternative arrangements or once the rooms have been fully allocated.
